She served on city council from 1989 to 1997 and again from 2001-2003, but didn’t seek re-election.

“She was a thoughtful leader whose voice and perspective made a lasting difference around council chambers and throughout our city. Beyond her years on council, Ann was a tireless volunteer and community champion.”

Greig noted Kelly received the Owen Sound Volunteer of the Year in 1992 and the Ontario June Callwood Award for Outstanding Achievement in Volunteerism in 2009.
