The Chicago Bulls’ Giddey is coming off a breakout season in Chicago, where he averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting at 37.8% from three. After the All-Star break, he exploded: 21.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.3 assists with an overall 50% efficiency and 46% from deep. And now, his season has seemingly been rewarded by the franchise.
According to Shams Charania, “ Josh Giddey has reached agreement on a four-year, $100 million deal to re-sign with the Chicago Bulls, agent Daniel Moldovan of Lighthouse Sports Management tells ESPN.” Naturally, the NBA world reacted, but no one did it better than Bulls rookie Matas Buzelis.
Shortly after the deal was reported, Buzelis posted an Instagram story featuring a meme of a man with a comically oversized bac
