The NFL has doled out its punishment for Jalen Carter after he spit on Dak Prescott during last Thursday’s season opener.

Carter was fined $57,222 for the incident and suspended one game, which the league feels has already been served.

In a press release on Tuesday, the league said that “because Carter was disqualified before participating in a single play, the suspension was considered to have been served in Week 1.” 3

With the suspension out of the way, Carter is expected to take the field for the Eagles during their Week 2 Super Bowl rematch against the Chiefs.
