SUNBURY — A man shot in the back and killed in Sunbury in 2022 died of a gunshot wound that pierced the largest artery in his body, according to a forensic pathologist from Allentown.
On the first day of trial for Randy Easton in Northumberland County Court on Tuesday, Dr. Michael Johnson testified that he reviewed the autopsy report of Joseph Rice, 33, of Sunbury. Easton, 45, of Sunbury, is accused of shooting and killing Rice during an altercation on Third Street and Raspberry Avenue in Sunbury just after 2 a.m. Sept. 25, 2022.
