NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — Ellen Wink, a former Norwalk city official charged with murder, was sentenced Friday to 50 years in prison, the state's attorney announced.

Wink was arrested on Jan. 20, 2022 after officers responded to a home on Nelson Avenue for a disturbance. Upon arrival, they found a man, 54-year-old Kurt Lametta, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Lametta was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wink owned the home where Lametta was a tenant.

On June 20, a jury at Stamford Superior Court found Wink guilty of murder and criminal lockout, rejecting the claim of self-defense and extreme emotional disturbance.

Evidence in trial showed that Wink had a a history of disputes with Lametta.
