COLEMAN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The Coleman County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about a phone scam in which callers impersonate deputies from the sheriff's office.

The scam involves telling recipients they have a warrant, often for failing to appear for jury duty, and pressuring them to pay a fine over the phone.

Coleman County Sheriff's Office reported that this is a scam and asked people not to provide any personal information or pay this individual.
