WACO, Texas — Two Central Texas programs with plenty of talent on the field will face off Friday night as University hosts China Spring in KCEN's Game of the Week.

The Trojans (1-1) are coming off their first win of the season, a bounce-back victory over Granbury, a team that handed their rivals, the Waco Lions, a decisive loss in Week 1. University will lean on a lineup stacked with college-caliber talent, including junior quarterback Savoy Nichols, who already holds multiple offers and is the team’s third-leading rusher. Senior London Smith, a Baylor commit, is averaging nearly 80 receiving yards per game, while junior safety Davontrae Kirkland, another Baylor commit, anchors the defense.
