Waco Civic Theatre celebrates 100 years of community and art

WACO, Texas — For 100 years, the Waco Civic Theatre has been more than just a stage; it's been a gathering place, a creative outlet and a home for countless performers, volunteers and audiences. The executive director of the Waco Civic Theatre, Kelly MacGregor, shared the excitement and significance of the centennial celebration.

MacGregor calls it "an incredible achievement" that reflects not only endurance, but also community passion.

"As far as legacy in the city of Waco, the history of Waco Civic Theater has tied itself pretty closely to the history of Waco as well," MacGregor told 6 News. "There have been many over the years, over the decades, that have poured the same amount of love and passion into this place because they care."
