REDDICK, Fla. (WCJB) - With 6,095 VPK programs across the state, Reddick-Collier Elementary School was ranked number one in Florida.

With a score of 99%, it’s clear these students like to challenge themselves.

The Director of Early Learning at Marion County Public Schools, Jennifer Beck, told TV20 they knew scores were coming out, but not what they would be.

“I think it’s a real kudos a win for our entire community here in Marion County, but also specifically to our programs that are housed within our schools,” said Beck.

School district grades were released just a few months ago.

One MCPS spokesperson told TV20 that one of their struggles was in elementary school -- kindergarten specifically.

But Beck says these scores show they’re actively working to change that.
