SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Sparks City Attorney’s Office says a man has been sentenced to two days in jail, fines and community service after being convicted of domestic battery involving children.

On July 23, 2024, officers with the Sparks Police Department responded for reports of a family disturbance. When they arrived, they saw two children, aged 6 and 13, in visible distress.

Police say Arturo Manatad Rosal had returned to his home in an agitated state, accused the victim of infidelity, and physically assaulted her in front of her 6-year-old.

The victim called for help, hitting her head as she did so.

Rosal ordered the victim to leave, allowing her to go downstairs and pack her belongings.
