Ben Rice has been red hot for the resurgent Yankees , hitting a big three-run homer in the first inning of the team’s 4-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday.

“Ben Rice isn’t just on a hot streak,he looks like a future cornerstone for the Yankees,” ex-Yankees outfielder Cameron Maybin wrote on social media. “Incredible pop clutch at bats and big game energy, The Bronx might have found its next young star!”

For the season, Rice, 26, is batting .243 with 23 homers and 54 RBI with an .809 OPS.
