LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - Community members, advocates, and lawmakers gathered in London Tuesday for Voices and Vision: Suicide Awareness and Prevention . The event was hosted by Volunteers of America Mid-States and the organization Whitney Strong.

It happened at the London Community Center and included panel discussions, personal stories, and suicide prevention training. The keynote speaker was Dr. Sabrina Brown, an associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Kentucky. Organizers said the goal was to break down stigma and give people tools to recognize the warning signs.
