The kitchen is closed for good at Louisville-based LouVino on Mass Ave., as the Southern-inspired restaurant and wine bar poured its last glass Sept. 6.

A note posted to the eatery's door on the ground floor of the Penrose on Mass building at 530 Massachusetts Ave. thanked customers for a six-year run that ended with little fanfare last weekend. The message, attributed to LouVino staff, did not provide a specific reason for the closure.
