WASHINGTON, D.C. - Crime and tourism are reportedly down in the nation's capital, nearly a month after President Trump's takeover of the Metropolitan Police Department and deployment of the National Guard.

Data from the Metropolitan Police Department reported a decrease of about 20% for property crime, and 14% for violent crime. Specifically, 29 less violent crimes were reported in the last month since the executive order than the month prior, and 417 fewer instances of property crime.

Tourism is also reportedly suffering in D.C., with many businesses reporting fewer customers according to CNN.
