(WHTM) — Tonight's Hometown Heroes teed up another successful fundraiser.

The group United 4 Animals held its second annual golf tournament for the Harrisburg region at the Hershey Country Club yesterday.

The non-profit creates events to raise money for local animal welfare groups. Each event usually brings in $10,000-$20,000 each year.

"Most rescuers don't have their own fundraisers, and so basically what I do is raise money for them, and then distribute the money equally among all the rescues," said Linetter Courtney, the fundraiser's coordinator.

abc27 News anchor Valerie Pritchett was happy to take part, alongside sports director Allie Berube and photojournalists Nathan Yerges and Luke Dreyer.
