The sentencing of a former baseball pitcher at BYU for an original charge of felony lewd conduct with a minor child under 16 has led to nationwide threats against the local court, leading the Idaho Judicial Branch to say such actions threaten court operation.
Candon Dean Dahle, 22, originally from Blackfoot, was charged with the felony count for manual to genital contact with an 11-year-old girl on or about Jan. 1, 2022, in Fremont County, according to the criminal complaint. That carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment and a $50,000 fine.
