Could the Cleveland Browns have won in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals despite K Andre Szmyt missing two kicks (field goal, extra point)? Sure, a lot of other plays could have changed the actual outcome of the game. Could the Browns still have lost even if Szmyt made both kicks? Sure, Bengals QB Joe Burrow has a lot of talent around him on offense, so who knows how the final two plus minutes of the game would have played out.

We do know that, besides lauding the rookies, Cleveland’s kicker curse and kicker options in NFL free agency have been the main focus Sunday night and Monday.
