The Transportation Safety Board of Canada announced Monday that it was sending a team of investigators to St. Maarten to assess why a WestJet Boeing 737-800 landed the way it did over the weekend.

Repairing a WestJet Airlines Ltd. plane that landed roughly in St. Maarten on the weekend and shut down the Caribbean island’s airport for a day will be a challenge, say aviation experts.
