SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Tensions ran high at the San Angelo ISD board meeting on September 8, as parents walked out and one was even removed by police after a heated debate over Lake View High School’s closed-campus lunch policy.

Students and parents told board members that lunch portions were not enough, and that the cafeteria often ran out of food before all students were served.

Geneva Rodriguez, a parent, said, “I have a six-foot, very large eighth grader who was very excited about getting macaroni the other day and was in line and was offered a piece of toast with cheese because he ran out of macaroni. And that is supposed to carry him for the rest of the day."
