Eva Heinz carded a 3-under 69 in the final round of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational on Tuesday, securing a runner-up finish as the Montana State women’s golf team placed fourth in its opening tournament of the season in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Heinz posted a 54-hole score of 2-under 214 across the two-day tournament to earn the best finish of her career, using five birdies in the final round to vault from seventh to second in the field. The junior’s 54-hole score of 214 ranks tied for 11th-lowest in program history.
