A Rehoboth man has been sentenced to life in prison for his role in the murder of his friend’s father in 2021.
Christopher Heron was sentenced in Fall River Superior Court Monday for the killing of Joseph Housley Sr., 66, in his Seekonk home.
Heron, who was found guilty of second-degree murder in June , will be eligible for parole in 18 years.
Jury selection was scheduled to begin Tuesday for the trial of a second man accused of the murder, Housley’s son, Joseph “JD” Housley Jr.
Housley and Heron were both 18 and living in Rehoboth when they were accused of shooting and killing Housley’s father in his apartment at Greenbrier Village Apartments on Forsythe Circle in July 2021.
