ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — A 17-year-old accused of fatally shooting an 18-year-old during a Labor Day weekend party in Harriman will remain in juvenile detention following a court hearing Tuesday.

The suspect, identified by authorities as Riley Pawlick, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Holden Howse. Pawlick is also accused of aggravated assault and tampering with evidence. 10News is naming the suspect due to the severity of the charges.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Pawlick shot and killed Howse early Saturday morning and also pistol-whipped another victim.
