BANGOR -- Golf tournaments are a staple of Maine summers, and there's one in Bangor with a little bit of a twist to benefit Special Olympics Maine.

Teams flocked to Fielder's Choice on Odlin Rd. for the third annual "Biggest Little Golf Tournament" and costume contest.

The event was sponsored and organized by University Credit Union and CU Insurance Solutions.

Organizers say the event builds on last year and is a fun way to make an impact.

"We have all kinds of different companies that have come out to support, sponsor, play, dress up with us," says April Gleason, University Credit Union chief lending officer, "All of that to help us sponsor Special Olympics and let them do all of those great athletics that they do. So we're super excited."
