An “upper-level trough” is sitting right over the southern Oregon Cascades this evening. Thunderstorms and showers are moving around this system (counterclockwise). In this case most of the showers developing east of the Cascades are moving up into the mountains, then dissipating as they move down toward the I-5 corridor.
