COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - COVID cases are on the rise in South Carolina, and many people in the state might now need a prescription to receive a vaccine, depending on where they go to get the shot, a major change from previous years.
This stems from a recent change at the federal level, cutting updated COVID vaccine eligibility to only include people 65 and older or those with an underlying health condition, which includes diabetes, cancer, and being a past or current smoker, physically inactive, or overweight.
