DALLAS COUNTY, Texas — Owning a pizzeria hasn't always been Terrill Burnett’s dream, but he takes pride in his craft. He owns South Polk Pizzeria in Oak Cliff.
“I think that was always a dream of mine was to have a full-service restaurant,” said Burnett. “Give them a better dining experience since there’s not really a lot of like sit-down restaurants in the southern -- in this side of town.”
Around July 2024, he said the City of Dallas Department of Aviation’s real estate manager asked if he wanted to run The Take Off restaurant at the Dallas Executive Airport. It’s located just two miles from South Polk Pizzeria.
“I saw the stars in front of my eyes,” said Burnett.
