Netflix isn’t really famous for its Western TV shows, with a few exceptions, but one of its best is Godless , an underrated miniseries that was a hit with critics and audiences. Starring The Newsroom ’s Jeff Daniels, the Netflix miniseries flew under the radar and didn’t get the attention it deserved despite having an incredible and well-known actor as part of its cast.

Yellowstone dominated the Western genre for years, but Godless proved that there are shows that are just as good and provide the same level of entertainment. Given how popular Western series are, it's not surprising that Netflix wanted to invest more in the genre, but unfortunately, Godless didn’t become a mainstream success.
