SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A death investigation is underway after a body was discovered inside a vehicle at a tow lot in South Los Angeles.

The discovery was made at Al's Towing on St. Andrews Place on Tuesday.

AIR7 video shows tents set up over a Honda sedan parked in the tow yard. It appeared the back of the car had been burned.

The Los Angeles Police Department said it is investigating the discovery.

It is unclear when or why the car was brought to the tow yard.

On Monday, a similar discovery was made at a different tow yard in Hollywood, where human remains were found inside an impounded Tesla.
