SHELBYVILLE, Ky. —

In Shelby County, the Ethington name is well known. Tim Ethington was a car dealership owner turned community fixture, but just last month, he was killed inside his home. And as the suspects were arrested, his family says they feel like they’re one step closer to justice.

“Everybody knew his laugh. He had this laugh that was remarkable. Contagious. Yeah. Yeah. Best storyteller,” said his cousin, Jamie Ethington.

And now, his family is determined to keep telling his story.

Tim was well known in Shelbyville.

“Everywhere we go, people are like I’m so sorry because everyone knew him in Shelbyville,” said Ethington.

So the news of his murder has left the community and his family in disbelief

On Aug. 20, police found Ethington dead inside his Spring Oaks Estates home. W
