SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) -- The City of Spartanburg is one ride closer to launching its new micro transit program, SpartaGo.

SpartaGo is an on-demand, public rideshare service and a soft launch test run will start next week, according to city officials.

This service will look and operate like other rideshare apps, but provide transportation solely within Spartanburg communities.

Spartanburg's Assistant City Manager, Kevin Limehouse, said customers will be able to order shared curb-to-curb rides within the pilot's service area.

He added that since the rides are shared, they are designed to accommodate any passenger.
