While Michigan legislative leaders and the governor haggle over a budget, state Senator Aric Nesbitt says it’s important for them to prioritize what matters most.

The House Republican plan and the Senate Democratic plan have major differences to be worked out, but Nesbitt tells us that House spending plan eliminates waste and potential fraud.

“ Fighting to make sure that families are able to keep more of the money that they earn and stop the waste, fraud, and abuse in our state,” Nesbitt said. “ And it’s gotten pretty bad as we’ve seen from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation s pending tens of millions of dollars for projects that don’t create any jobs.”
