OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — After a Minco school bus crash left several students injured, top state leaders and business executives are renewing calls for Oklahoma to require seat belts on school buses, pointing to safety benefits and stalled legislation.
The crash left six people injured, one critically, and has prompted leaders including Attorney General Gentner Drummond and businessman Harold Hamm to call on lawmakers to act.
Drummond posted on social media Tuesday asking, “What is the argument against requiring seat belts in school buses?” and said the legislature should take action.
