LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Part of a southeast Lincoln street shut down Tuesday night after a water main break.

The northbound lanes of 48th Street are closed from Antelope Creek Road to Normal Boulevard as crews fix the break.

Water service is expected to be restored to nearby residents in the late evening or overnight, according to the Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department.

LTU said drivers should use alternate route during the Wednesday morning commute.

Additional repairs to the road are expected to be done by about Sept. 27, according to LTU.
