CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) - A woman is in custody after police say she made a bomb threat in Charleston.

The Charleston Police Department said in a Sept. 9 press release via Facebook that officers responded to a report of a bomb threat Monday along 18th Street.

CPD said that witnesses received the bomb threat over the phone.

Charleston police then arrested 34-year-old Marquanita Darughtery one block away from the building after they said she had made a threat towards the building and those inside.

Darughtery was taken to Coles County Jail, and police are still investigating.
