CLEVELAND — When the critically acclaimed Southern soul-rock band Alabama Shakes announced its reunion after a seven-year hiatus, the band’s fan base rejoiced, quickly snapping up tickets and selling out several shows on its current tour.

On Monday night at Jacobs Pavilion, the reconstituted band — now a trio after jettisoning original drummer Steve Johnson due to legal troubles in 2020 — easily reclaimed its place as one of the most authentic bands in the United States, performing to a packed house of grooving, age-diverse, bleacher-stomping fans.
