The Boston Red Sox once again dipped into their youthful Triple-A depth to add starting pitching for Tuesday's matchup with the Athletics.

Boston will call upon lefty Connelly Early to make his MLB debut on the West Coast. He takes the mound one day before Kyle Harrison, the main pitching piece of the Rafael Devers trade, arrives to make his team debut.

In addition to talented arms such as Luis Perales and Payton Tolle, Early is in the upper echelon of starting pitching prospects in the Red Sox system. Early came to the Red Sox during Chaim Bloom's final draft with Boston in the fifth round in 2023 out of Virginia. The 23-year-old earned valuable college experience in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) to prepare him for his rise in the system.
