CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Capital Region law makers and victims are speaking up to demand stricter oversight of dog boarding facilities. An Argyle man who lost three of his dogs in the recent animal abuse case out of Washington County is now pushing for legislation and oversight for pets.

“To be honest, at this point, it doesn't seem like it's real. It still seems like it's a sick joke or somebody, you know, playing a prank.” Cody Shields dropped his three dogs off at Anastasia’s Acres dog boarding while he and his family went on vacation, hours later he got a call that he never expected to get, “Less than 24 hours later all three of my dogs had passed. We were contacted by the sheriff, and he informed us later that day.”
