SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown -- or at least a giant one! The Saratoga Giant Pumpkinfest returns to downtown Saratoga Springs for its 10th year on September 27.
Growers from across New York State and the northeast will haul their biggest pumpkins to the Capital Region to compete for "Heaviest Pumpkin of the Year" and other titles. Some are expected to weigh over one thousand pounds.
The family-friendly festival will also feature other fall activities, on-site food vendors, live music by Mandolins Too and photo and petting opportunities with Upset, the Mini Dark Horse. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to visit downtown restaurants, shops and the nearby Saratoga Farmers' Market at High Rock Park.
