Imagine a horse running at full speed. That’s how sophomore tight end Zack Marshall describes senior Marlin Klein, who sits in front of him on the depth chart, for his “freak-ish” athleticism.

Saturday, the then-No. 15 Michigan football team was without its Secretariat, and for the first time in his career, Marshall had his number called in a major way against then-No. 18 Oklahoma.

“Football is fun. It’s supposed to be,” Marshall said Tuesday. “So being on the field is what you always dream of, right? Wake up every morning, you’re like, ‘Holy cow, I’m in a multi-million dollar facility. My school’s paid for.’ We’re just grateful to be here in the first place. So being able to run out and know that you’re actually gonna make a difference on Saturdays is pretty damn, pretty dang cool.”
