GADSDEN — The Sand Rock Lady Wildcats evened their volleyball record to 9-9 after defeating Gaston in an area match on Tuesday. The scores were 25-13, 25-14, 19-25 and 25-11.

Paitlyn Hughes posted 10 kills, 16 digs, and five aces. Molly Grace Lay delivered 23 digs. Maddie Clanton contributed 29 assists and four aces.

Caitlyn Lynch managed nine kills, three blocks, and four aces. Emma Sipsy came away with six kills and three blocks. Macey Pruitt and Megan Smith both finished with five kills.

Sand Rock travels to Cedar Bluff on Thursday for another area match.
