PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) - Metamora boys soccer scored a second-half equalizer in the 51st minute Tuesday night and held off a furious Morton push in the final minutes to tie the Potters 1-1 at McCallen Park.
In other soccer matchups, Washington cruised past Pekin 6-0, Dunlap defeated Limestone 4-0, and Peoria Notre Dame breezed through Manual 7-0. Bloomington also took down Peoria 4-1.
In volleyball, Metamora swept Washington, Limestone won in two over East Peoria, and Dunlap took both sets over Pekin.
Also, Morton native Al Carius passed away. He coached North Central College to 19 cross country national titles.
