TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Tucson's first Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) is now open, providing comprehensive support to adults affected by violent crime. The CODAC TRC, the only one of its kind in southern Arizona, offers free services to individuals impacted by crimes like gun violence and domestic violence in the past three years, as well as homicide survivors.

The TRC, based on a model developed by the University of California, San Francisco, offers mental health counseling, therapy, and case management. The funding comes from Arizona House Bill 2612, passed in 2023, ensuring no cost to survivors.
