FAIRFIELD, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama is asking for your help solving a string of robberies.

Investigators said the thieves are targeting members of the Hispanic community across Jefferson County.

The robberies happened in late July and August 2025.

Authorities said one minor has been arrested in connection with a case.

The director of Crime Stoppers said it appears the thieves are targeting folks working to remodel and repair homes in Birmingham, Fairfield, and Bessemer.

The robberies have happened several times in the last two months.

Victims shared there are anywhere from two to six men who approach them while working on houses. The suspects are described as wearing all black and face masks.
