The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said Tuesday the Roberts Road access to U.S. 60 in west McCracken County will close permanently on Thursday. The closure is along U.S. 60 at mile point 1.079.

A contractor is continuing work in the area as part of the ongoing US 60 realignment project near Kevil.

A cul-de-sac will be built at the end of Roberts Road. Residents will be able to access US 60 via KY 995/Rice Springs Road.

A new traffic crossover and diversion on US 60, near the transition from four lanes to two (between KY 1154/Hobbs Road and Queensway Drive), is expected to open late Thursday, weather permitting.

A lane restriction is currently in place in this area with a reduced speed limit of 45 mph.
