PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Six patients were taken to the hospital after what authorities said was a hazardous materials incident in Albany Tuesday night.
According to the Albany Fire Department, firefighters responded around 8:30 p.m. at the ATI Millersburg Operations.
Eleven patients were evaluated, with six taken to the hospital so far. Officials said additional patients are being evaluated for transport and that family members are being notified.
Officials said there are no exposures to the surrounding area.
"Regional Hazmat Team 5 is working the scene with ATI Incident Commanders and will remain on scene through the night," the Albany Fire Department said.
