Dozens of sailors will come to Santa Fe in November for Navy Week, the U.S. Navy’s primary annual outreach effort for parts of the country without a significant Navy presence.
From Nov. 10-16, sailors will engage with the community through activities such as Navy Band performances, senior leader engagements, STEM demonstrations and visits to schools, nonprofits and businesses. Navy Weeks take place every year across the U.S., providing people with the opportunity to meet sailors and gain a deeper understanding of the Navy’s role in national security and global operations, according to a news release.
The group of 50 to 60 sailors will include some who call Santa Fe home, according to the release.
