England's World Cup qualifier against Serbia in Belgrade was temporarily halted after a laser pen was directed at Aston Villa star Ezri Konsa's face.

The Villa defender was visibly taken aback in the 38th minute when a green light from the crowd was aimed at his head.

This incident occurred shortly after another pen seemed to be shone at Reece James as he prepared for a free-kick. The game was paused by experienced French referee Clement Turpin, who went to consult with the fourth official.
