Pinstripes, which marketed itself as an “eatertainment” destination with bowling, bocce, booze and bistro-style eating, declared bankruptcy on Sept. 8 and closed 10 locations across the U.S. — including the Garden State Plaza location in Paramus — as it seeks a buyer to stay in business.
The chain was founded in 2007 with offerings of food alongside games and entertainment. It opened a two-story location at the Garden State Plaza complete with outdoor dining and fire pits in February 2024 after years of anticipation and delays .
Founding CEO Dale Schwartz characterized the opening as a “modern twist on dining, entertainment and events” where guests could “dine, play and celebrate.”
