Friends of a mother and daughter slain Sunday outside Augusta's Best Buy have started a fundraiser to pay for funeral services and care for a surviving child.
Melissa Cui Domingo, 37, and Elizabeth Cui Domingo, 74, both of Evans, were pronounced dead at the scene in the Best Buy parking lot on Walton Way Extension, according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen.
A campaign on the online crowdfunding site GoFundMe started by Pasadena, Md., resident Arlene Fernandez is seeking funds to send the Cui Domingos "home to Maryland as well as covering the costs of their funeral and memorial services," according to the site.
The fund also seeks to help provide care for Melissa Cui Domingo’s young son, Michael.
