Thelo Aasgaard thanked Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland for giving him the chance to complete his international hat trick from the penalty spot. ‌

The Rangers star bagged an incredible four goals after coming off the bench as Norway ran riot in an 11-1 World Cup qualifying win over Moldova. ‌

The Norwegians were awarded a penalty with Aasgaard on a brace. Main man Haaland usually assumes responsibility from 12 yards, but stepped aside to let Aasgaard claim his treble. ‌

He later added a fourth goal to his tally in injury time.

And Aasgaard was thankful to Haaland - whose five against Moldova took his international stats up to an incredible 48 goals in just 45 caps - for his selflessness.
